An abstract mixed media print titled Woman by the American artist Joan Farrar. Black abstract designs are layered to create a portrait of a woman using a combination of stone lithography and painting with tea. Signed, titled, and numbered 5/10 along the bottom edge, the work is displayed in a wooden frame with gold-tone metal accents and behind a white mat.
Joan Farrar is an American painter and printmaker. Farrar worked for Tanglewood Press as a printmaker, working in conjunction with the Leo Castelli Gallery and printing pieces by Jasper Johns, Tom Wesselmann, and Angelo Savelli. Farrar's prints are in numerous museums including the Art Institute of Chicago.
