Set of 6 Albisola faience earthenware plates featuring castles, landscapes, figures, rabbits, and birds. Hand painted in characteristic yellow, green and brown, the plates measure 8.5" diameter. Albisola is a small Italian seaside village that has been making ceramics since the late 16th century. This charming set has some damages, please read condition report and study photos.

A large chip to the outer rim on 2 of the plates, see last 2 photos. The plate with the older chip also has a large chip on the back. A hairline crack to the plate with the male figure. Almost all the plates have one small chip on the rim. Please study photos. Glazes have age related crackling, normal for Italian majolica of this age. less
