'Geschutzt' marking indicates it was made in Germany after 1899, when this copywrite mark came into use. The black-painted wood base and bentwood bindings are finely nailed into place. Leather straps wrap vertically around the basket with decorative turnkey brass clasps. Sturdy leather top handles. The basket is woven of reed with a cotton grosgrain ribbon.

Dimensions:
The body is 9" x 5" x 6.5". The handles can be positioned to stand 3.5 " tall above the lid, but will naturally fall to one side. See less
