A poelle being a cooking pan.This small village on the channel sea cultivates a long tradition of hand made copper wares.This piece from the "Maison lecellier" workshop is an early production clearly marked with the original "LeCelier" stamp from the 1930's . Not so common to come across these larger pieces that are very richly crafted with a variety of details. A true slice of French vernacular and craftsmanship. I discovered this piece in a open air "brocante" flea market near the city of Brest France. In excellent condition with a gorgeous patina only time can create. Polish at will for a flashier touch!!
