Wonderful Pickman porcelain ewer made in the 20th century in Seville. It has two different parts, a jug and a bowl to pour and contain the water, since it is a container traditionally used to wash hands. Jugs usually have a pouring spout and a handle, while basins can be shallow and wide. Extraordinary hand molding and painting technique, with shiny enamel that highlights the decorative details.

The Pickman porcelain factory, known as La Cartuja de Sevilla, was founded in 1841 by Charles Pickman. It quickly gained renown for the quality of its products and its distinctive style. Pickman products are characterized by the influence of English and oriental style, adopting decorative patterns such as flowers, pastoral scenes and exotic motifs.
