This a beautifully executed and cleverly crafted inkstand with two cut crystal and silver mount pots for ink and a … Read more This a beautifully executed and cleverly crafted inkstand with two cut crystal and silver mount pots for ink and a center open ring. Each piece is hallmarked. The lattice tray rests on claw and ball feet, has a small flower engraved between each lattice and has a small center medallion engraved with a lion and griffin. Its hallmark appears to be 1739. The rims around the crystal ink pots appear to be Victorian, perhaps around 1859. As can be seen in the pictures, pins at the bottom of. The tray can be removed for easier polishing. Hallmarks are visible and, according to an appraisal, appear to be those of David Hennell and Charles Hougham, 1819-20. The tray with its three mounts weighs 7.9 oz. I count the tray without the ink pots as one item. See less
