It is a rich cobalt blue with hand … Read more Stunning hand painted French dresser/ jewelry porcelain box with a hinged lid. It is a rich cobalt blue with hand painted pink and green flowers. It has light blue enamel, and gilt paint detail. There is ormolu trim and latch. Identification numbers and the letter "I" are in gold paint on the bottom. There is a blue numeral “6” on the inside of the dome and underside the jar. Circa 1880 - 1920. It is about 8 inches across at its widest and measures 4 inches tall. It is very substantial. Overall, it is in very good Condition with no chips or cracks. The hinge works properly and the halves close smoothly and tightly. There is some age wear to the gilt and enamel loss is limited to one spot in the center of the lid. See less
