A unique elongated and narrow semi-abstract figurative composition, executed in oil onto canvas.
Reminiscent of a film strip or photo montage, the painting has been divided into half. The artwork features a semi-abstract figure of a woman depicted twice, once in the top half and again in the bottom half, standing in a similar pose.
The top half of the painting presents the woman amidst lighter shades, creating a subtle yet noticeable contrast with the lower half where slightly darker shades prevail. Between the two renditions of the female figure, a beige colour block acts as a divider, enhancing the montage-like effect.
This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary black-painted wood frame. Both the painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
