This Andy Warhol Foundation rare vintage 2005 offset lithograph print custom framed Pop Art poster " Police Car " 1983, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The vintage poster print is published by Import Images, New York. printed in 2005 in an unnumbered limited edition with the licensed authorized rights of The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Inc. It features an artwork image originally created by Warhol in 1983 titled " Police Car " from The Paintings for Children " Toy Series ", combining paintings and silkscreen based on toys he collected.
Andy Warhol ( 1928 - 1987 ) is one of the most well known Contemporary artists of all time. His imagery is recognized worldwide. His infamous life, art works, and creative endeavors are like no other artist. He is recognized as the very first artist to use common everyday objects and view them in a completely different way while paying homage to their role in our society. Glorifying the common as the beautiful. His technique utilizing a silkscreen method combined with hand finishing in a signature palette of vibrant color hues make the work stand on its own and loved by millions.
The rare out of print framed Pop Art poster print measures 20 1/4" W X 16 1/4" H X 1" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern variegated walnut brown woodgrain style matte eggshell finish metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and very light minor wear. It is brand newly custom framed and has never been displayed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price.
