This Late-Georgian Silverplated English Candlesticks Pair were made by Hawsworth, Eyre & Co. Sheffield. The neoclassical Corinthian design of bundled fluted columns is topped with a Leaf Cup and the original nozzle bobeches, (wax drip trays) are removable from the sconces for ease of cleaning.
In excellent condition with some light copper bleed. Moderate surface wear consistent with age.
Makers marks: HE & Co (Hawksworth, Eyre & Co.)
Lion passant: sterling silver fineness mark
Assay office: Sheffield (crown)
