Rendez Vous de Chasse, 19th century French engraving after Carle Vernet
Offered is a 19th century engraving entitled “Rendez vous de Chasse” engraved by Debucourt after the painting by Carle Vernet. The engraving depicts a country scene with a horse drawn stage coach, riders on horse back and a large manor house in the distance.

Carl Vernet (1758-1836) A French painter and avid horseman who gained a popularity with his hunting, racing and landscape pieces.
Philibert-Louis Debucourt (1755-1832) A French engraver and painter. He produced many aquatints after Carle Vernet in addition to his own paintings. He was a pioneer in the technique of multi-plate color prints.
