1 Rare British 19th Century Small Antique Pugin Design Carved Tiger Oak Heraldic Lion Shield Notable Family Crest Plaque Wall Mount Sculpture.
It has been beautifully carved in a raised low relief Pugin inspired Gothic-design.
Very decorative.
Handmade from out of tiger oak wood.
A charming small size being 18.1 cm wide and 18.1 cm high.
Circa late 19th century Victorian era.
Depicting a heraldic rampant lion with mane holding an arrow head in its raised front paw leg facing left in full side profile, with raised curled high tail. On its back a standing acanthus leaf, the lion is standing on a thick rope garland.
Superb for the private collector, trade, gallery & interior design home decorater.
No hanging thread verso.
