A Hollywood Regency burnt bamboo wall mirror with a shelf. This piece was created in Hong Kong. It features a rectangular mirror that is flanked on both sides with scrolled or bent bamboo. The top of the mirror features bamboo in a half starburst design. Perhaps the most interesting and unusual bit about this piece is the shelf that is attached at the bottom. It is just large enough for use as a vanity bathroom mirror or in a powder bath. (Imagine storing your favorite creams or candles!) The back has the original sticker which reads, "Edward Hecht, Made in Hong Kong". Also on the back and just above the mirror, are two brass for use in attaching to the wall.
