Pair Russian Neoclassical Unique Specimen Green Quartz Ormolu Mounted Vases
Species Quartz, Commonly known as Agate
A exquisite pair of 19th-century Russian neoclassical vases, each a unique specimen of green quartz, commonly known as agate. Standing 12.5 inches high and measuring 7 inches wide to handles, with a 5-inch diameter, these vases are raised on 4.5-inch square bases featuring distinct gemstone striations. One vase displays captivating orbital striations, while the other with elegant horizontal patterns, creating a visually dynamic pair. Both vases share the same delicate neoclassical ormolu mounts, adding a neoclassical elegance to the natural beauty of the green quartz. The fine craftsmanship and attention to detail make these vases exceptional pieces of art that seamlessly blend the allure of Russian neoclassical design with the unique characteristics of green quartz.
