Fine Chinese porcelain baluster shaped vase marked "Qianlong Period Make" from the People's Republic period (1949-1966), probably 1950/60's. Colourful shades of turquoise and green with pink and yellow lower lappet border with auspicious pink and blue Ruyi shapes on the shoulder and neck areas - enamelled.
Hand painted Famille rose design with pleasant pastel colours throughout. The body depicts a single proud peacock in an outdoor genre scene, perched on a traditional form Chinese rock with a calligraphy narrative/verse that describes the scene.
A pretty display vase for the home.
