About The Poster: This Italian engraving from the private collection of Giorgio Balbi represent a naked female figure holding the broken heart of her suitor at her feet. She holds it above her head and from the organ come rays so bright and strong that they light the woman's body and the face of the lover at her feet, who Iies enraptured while he whispers, perhaps to the heart, perhaps to the girl 'herz, mein herz' (heart, my heart).
