Exquisite, 19th Century Italian carved gilt wood settee in the Baroque style.
The settee features a finely carved whimsical theme including maidens, clouds, flowers and shells. Some of the flowers retain their original encrusted glass pearls.
The gilt finish has naturally distressed over the decades. Minor wear and wood loss. The yellow Scalamandre silk upholstery shows some wear.
This is truly a statement piece that can be placed in traditional to contemporary themed interiors.
