One of 6 Lithographs from my personal collection. The artist is A di Lorenzo, and the publisher was
Raimondo Petraroja who owned a bookstore and publishing company in Naples. His embossed publisher's stamp can be seen in the last photo.
The lithograph is part of a folio called "History of Man" 1868.
Actual printing was done with stone, a lithography technique invented in the early 1800's and used until replaced by steel later in the 1800's. The prints were handcolored.
