Stools hold great significance in the Batonga culture. They are used by elders and those important in the community. This stool is antique with high patina showing its use as a portable seat in Zimbabwe. It is carved from one piece of wood so it is very strong and can continue to serve as low seating or side table. These stools are all sculptural in nature and look wonderful as a centerpiece or design accent. Tonga stools with genuine authentic patina like this one are becoming more and more rare.
