Fabulous pair of vintage book ends or door stops, each featuring a young Dutch girl carrying milk or water buckets.The heavy cast iron pieces .They appear to have the original paint, but if in fact they were re-painted with bronzed color, it was not recently. The paint appears to be naturally aged.The pieces do have signs of previous use, including chips and scratches to the paint, dust and minor surface rust to the bottom surface.
