These fantastic lamps were produced in the 1960s in France and are attributed to Louis Sognot. These lovely sconces are in amazing conditions and with a beautiful honey color. The spherical lampshades are made in curved rattan, the round base of the lamps is connected to the shade by a curved cane arm, enriched with beautiful decorations in hand-woven wicker and curved rattan. An incredibly unique and charming pair of organic wall lamps, a must have for all the French Riviera style lovers. The lamps can be wired under request. A stunning pair of wall lamps perfect for a midcentury outdoor project, as the fantastic French Riviera flair will complete a porch or a garden. Dimensions (cm) : Width - 19,5 Depth - 21 Height - 35 Louis Sognot was a French designer best known for his elegant furniture made from a combination of rattan and wood. Sognot was influenced by Art Deco and Cubist aesthetics, giving his work a unique stylistic touch while still being usable. Born on May 25, 1892 in Paris, France, Sognot studied at École Bernard-Pablissy before working as a designer at the Au Printemps department store in Paris in 1919. The designer became a founding member of the Union des Artistes Decoroteurs. He died in 1970 in Paris, France.
