This is part of Chairish’s Fine Jewelry assortment.
This 14k gold pendant is shaped like a musical lyre and inscribed with the words “Choate Musical Clubs.” The charm is most likely associated with Choate Rosemary Hall, a boarding school founded in the 1890’s in Wallingford, Connecticut known for its rigorous academics. The initials “J.W.S.” are engraved on the back of the charm. The gold has an acid wash finish that makes the details of the lyre stand out. The charm was crafted with careful attention to detail, down to the delineation of each individual string.
The charm weighs 1.7 grams. It measures 1/2” x 3/4”.
