Date: 1980s

Artist: Gueden, Colette
This poster was created to promote the 25th anniversary of Primavera, the artists' pavilion and studio of the Printemps department stores in Paris. In 1912, René Guilleré (equally the founder of the Society of Decorative Artists) petitioned the Magasins du Printemps to have their furniture and objets d'art produced by local artisans. The Primavera Pavillion was a space in which to showcase these products and benefitted from the support of the Ministry of Culture.
Note: This poster is a 1980s re-issue of the original poster from 1937.
