What a fabulous statement piece! This handmade, vibrant and sculptural mid-century Italian ceramic footed bowl is labeled “Florentine Original.” It features an expressive, hand-painted abstract design of a fish on turquoise, green, orange, yellow, and black over a textured, lava-style glaze. The wide form is accented with ringed side handles, and sits on a stable pedestal foot—typical of 1950s–60s Italian modernist decor.
The bowl's material and handmade quality showcase the superb craftsmanship of the era, reminiscent of Bitossi pottery.
