Beautiful condition given their age … Read more Here we have lovely set of vintage Neoclassical Regency black lacquered parcel gilt dining chairs. Beautiful condition given their age and use. The frames are sturdy and retain their glorious original finish. Wonderful patina which is aged to perfection. There is wear and oxidation to the lacquer and gilding, but no breaks nor repairs to wood frames. I try very hard to describe accurately and take pictures of any "issues", so please examine photos for details.

Gorgeous carved back crests, gilt rosette appliqués, darling round velvet seats, curvy integrated styles and saber legs with gilt pinstripe details and emulated foot caps. So very stylish.

I'm not positive on the age of these chairs, they could be as early as 1920's or as late as the 1950's. The wine colored velvet is darker in person than my pics show. It is also much newer than the chairs and in excellent condition. This set was most likely made in America.
