Hoffmann was one of the most influential designers of the 20th century and a key member of the Vienna Secession alongside Gustav Klimt and Koloman Moser. Produced by the Augarten Porcelain Manufactory in Vienna, it reflects the highest level of craftsmanship, with graceful curves that present a notable challenge to its modeling and decoration.

The underside is marked with the blue crowned shield “Wien” and red “Made in Austria,” along with hand-written model and décor numbers (75/6447) and a painter’s mark, all consistent with mid-20th-century Augarten production. Augarten continues a 300-year Viennese porcelain tradition, preserving the elegance and techniques of the original imperial factory founded in 1718.
