The vase is delicately hand-painted with a charming wildflower and butterfly motif, with raised enamel accents that bring the scene to life. The amber ground gradually blends into a soft pale yellow at the base, enhancing its visual appeal.

Unmarked, as is common for many pieces from this period. We have seen similar items, dated around 1880, described as Harrach glassworks in Bohemia. The Harrach manufactory, with a history spanning over three centuries, gained renown under the leadership of Count Harrach (1828-1909), a member of a prominent Habsburg Empire noble family who assumed control of the glassworks in 1860. Under his direction, the manufactory won major awards at prestigious international exhibitions.
