It depicts a summer view of the city of Oxford with a field of wheat being harvested by a team of reapers in the foreground. It is inscribed as follows:

John Boydell (1720-1804) was an 18th Century English engraver, print publisher and Lord Mayor of London. It comes ready to display in a gilt patinated wood frame. Fine framer's label on reverse that reads as follows: "The Old Print Shop, New York". Photographed through glass which explains reflections. In very good condition with minor toning and imperfections as shown. Perfect gift for Oxford alumnus or similar.
