A design of understated elegance and clear Asian influence not only in its shape but also in its translucent ivory coloring. Frederick Carder was an English glassmaker who studied with French glass maker Gallé and was Steuben's art director from 1903 to 1933. A full record of Shape no.: 7316 [footed vase] is available at The Rakow Library Catalog of the Corning Museum of Glass. Perfect to decorate a mantle, console table, mantle or similar. A rare pair in very good condition as shown. Price is for the pair, both are available.
