Jugendstil Austro-Hungarian Silver Mount Glass Carafe Decanter Claret Jug Vincenz Carl Dub - post 1872, Austria. The silver mount is marked with initials VCD, the hallmark of Vincenz Carl Dub (1852 - 1922), an Austrian silversmith and son of Thomas Dub (1811-1889) who established the business in 1838. It is also marked with the Dianakopf or Diana's head mark used in the 1867 to 1922 period indicating a silver fineness of 800/1000. In very good condition with minor imperfections as shown.
