Crafted in France circa 1780, the rectangular table is constructed of solid walnut and features a rich, warm patina developed over centuries of use.

The substantial rectangular top is finished with a molded edge and rests above a deep apron decorated with finely carved geometric crosshatch motifs. A single drawer fitted with a decorative iron pull provides convenient storage, while the clean lines of the top contrast beautifully with the elaborate turned elements below.

The table stands on four boldly turned baluster legs, each featuring a succession of rounded knops, collars, and ring-turned details characteristic of the Louis XIII style.
