The offset lithograph print exhibition poster is published by The Nelson - Atkins Museum of Art Kansas City, printed in 1988 in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the exhibition. It features an iconic Impressionist artwork image originally created by Manet in 1882 titled " A Bar at The Folies Bergere ".

Edouard Manet ( 1832 - 1883 ) was a French Modernist painter. He was one of the first 19th Century artists to paint Modern life, and a pivotal figure in the transition from realism to Impressionism. Manet's masterworks caused great controversy in their time and served as rallying points for the young painters who would create Impressionism. Today his artworks are considered to be watershed paintings that mark the start of Modern Art.

The rare out of print museum exhibition poster measures 34" w X 30" H. It is printed on high quality heavyweight paper stock with a satin finish. It is in very good vintage condition consistent with age and some signs of handling. It has never been framed. There is some very light surface wear, and light wear in the bottom corner areas.
