An outstanding geometric abstract figurative composition that explores the interplay between form, colour, and perspective, executed in oil onto canvas.
Two figures stand in opposite directions against a backdrop of meticulously arranged geometric abstraction, and their forms have also been deconstructed down to angular shapes.
The geometric shapes composing the figures and backdrop interlock like pieces of a puzzle. Each shape contributes to the overall composition, its placement and colour carefully considered to achieve balance and cohesion.
The composition is a symphony of muted pastel hues – soft sage greens, mustard yellows, tranquil blues, delicate pinks, subtle greys, and warm peach. These colours contrast seamlessly, imbuing the composition with a serene and very pleasant feel.
This oil on stretched canvas comes unframed but can be hung as is, and is in excellent vintage condition.
