Three-piece French antique hammered copper cistern and basin with lid dates back to the 19th century when it was not as common to have running water in homes.
This 'Lavabo' in French is wall mounted as a water tank with a spout and washing bowl underneath used to wash up. You fill the top with water and empty the bottom after cleaning.
