Stunning pair of Harvey Probber model 1055 side chairs. See Model 1055 in the early Harvey Probber magazine ad. Missoni style upholstery on the comfortable padded back and seat. The frame is constructed of solid walnut or mahogany. These chairs display exemplary proportion with a wide seat offset by a slim, curved back. Very comfortable. Could be used as dining, desk or occasional chairs.
of note:
This style of upholstered Harvey Probber chair is rarely if ever labeled. It was typically labeled with a paper shipping/ order label which more times than not was removed by the original orderer.
This chair is well documented in Probber ads and flyers and there are many that were produced.
