About the Artist:
Born in Zagreb, Croatia in 1945, Marko Spalatin immigrated to the United States in his late teens and became internationally recognized for his geometric abstraction and Op-Art works. His work has been exhibited in more than 70 solo exhibitions throughout North America, Europe, and the Middle East, and is held in the collections of major institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, Tate Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum, Musée d’Art Moderne, Brooklyn Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
