This statue features an uncommon combination of the traditional Christian angel symbol and the sensual elegance of Asiatic sculpture, especially from Indianised countries. Showcasing two very large wings, the angelic being raises her left arm and holds a sphere. A carved garland drapes the side of her body. Her dynamic dancing attitude and her sensual model are reminiscent of ancient Indian sculptures. The statue is hand-carved and totally gilded with painted accents. This Asian 1950s hand-carved gilded female angel statue would be an excellent decorative object in any home, perhaps placed in a living room where its high dimensions would no doubt draw attention.
