This set of six interior doors comes from China, where it was made with lacquered elmwood during the 19th Century. These elmwood screens showcase an openwork middle section. The top part is adorned with geometrical patterns, while the lower section features traditional auspicious intricate Chinese motifs. The panels are accented by a light brown molding. These panels were first used as interior doors and can be hinged together in order to create a screen.
