This tall vase adopts an uncommon shape made of a square section topped with a curving neck. The front depicts an exquisite scene with four Chinese characters, probably a tea ceremony. The back features a landscape painted in a typical antique Chinese style evoking the Chinese painter Dong Yuan. The sides are adorned with calligraphy, perhaps poems illustrating these paintings. Each side comprises a round handle. With its lovely shape and serene décor, this Chinese 19th century antique hand-painted porcelain vase with a scene will be an excellent decorative accent in any room, perhaps placed in a living room anchoring a chest of drawers or a pedestal.
