They are illustrated and signed by Rene Gruau, a leading fashion illustrator of the 20th century. They showcase exquisite, elegant eveningwear by haute coute designers Pierre Balmain and Maggy Rouff. Note the burst of sparkle from the night sky that is highlighted in the gown details and the jewels, the sumptuous muff and the billowing draped skirts.These fashion illustrations are highly stylized with strong design elements.
