This exquisite early 17th-century armchair captures the bold elegance of the French Louis XIII period. Crafted circa 1640 in Southwest France, the chair is made from richly patinated Circassian walnut and features a tall rectangular back with finely carved scrolled arms and detailed floral motifs. The base is beautifully constructed with hand-carved turned legs and shaped stretchers, adding strength and decorative presence.
The piece has been reupholstered in a textured peach fabric and finished with braided trim, tassel fringe, and oversized brass nailhead accents for a pop of warm color and period flair.
