Authentic and of the period, an Imperiall Nippon hand-painted 9.5" vase enhanced by profuse and delicate moriage, and bronze handles and rim. Decoration consists of an evocative seascape punctuated by an idyllic maruko-bune floating on a calm sea. The body of the vase is adorned with hundreds of small moriage beads each carefully placed by hand.
