The column has been sliced in half and wired to create a fantastic floor lamp. Original paint remnants speckle the column and give it a wonderful rustic patina - see close ups. Easy to use twist knob turns bulb off and on. The column is carved from solid oak and was most likely an antique column used in a traditional southern plantation style home. Simple Doric style column with deep flutes - really a fantastic patina to the wood/paint - natural and raw. This is a one of a kind find - have never come across anything quite like it. Column is 9" in diameter, base is 10" x 10". See less
