Domenico " Mimmo " Rotella ( 1918 - 2006 ) was an Italian artist considered an important figure in post war Euro pean Modern Art. best known and recognized for his works of decollage and psychogeographics, made from torn advertising posters. Decollage is a technique of collage with the opposite method. Instead of adding elements to the work, it starts from a complete image from which parts are removed and detached. This concept of decollage is associated with Rotella's influence of the New Dada movement.

The rare out of print lithograph calendar print Pop Art poster measures 19 1/4" W X 23" H, with an image area of 17 1/8" W X 13 1/2" H. It is in very good vintage condition consistent with age use, and some visible light signs of handling and wear in the margin areas. It has never been framed.
