The lithograph print poster is printed in 1985, copyright Andy Warhol and Campbell Soup Company. It features an iconic artwork originally created by Warhol in 1985 titled " Campbell's Soup Box ". It is plate signed in the print by the artist.

In the 1980's Warhol began to accept commissions for advertising work from a range of sources . Many critics noted that he had essentially gone full - circle, returning to where he started in the 1950's as a commercial illustrator. yet Warhol maintained that he " Was Always a Commercial Artist ". Due to his overwhelming identification with the soup can, in 1985 he was commissioned by Campbell's Soup Company to create a series of paintings of their Dry - Mix soups. This work displays a chicken noodle package, created by combining a photographic print with hand drawn printed contours.

When Warhol produced the original Campbell's soup can paintings in the 1960's they were considered outrageous, twenty years later they appear almost as ordinary as the product the represent. A true compliment to these world famous iconic Pop Art images.

The rare vintage 1985 collector's framed Pop Art poster measures 23 1/2" W X 29" H X 3/4" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in classic Modern black matte satin finish metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation. The poster print is in excellent " like new " vintage condition with very light signs of handling, it is brand newly custom framed and has never been displayed.
