It is recognized by its factory mark, three wavy lines above each other symbolizing Denmark's three straits: Oresund, The Great Belt and the Little Belt. This beautiful and rare vase depicts a picture of the words Frederiksborg Castle, the castle and trees. It has Crown and Royal Copenhagen stamp in green under the glaze and blue wave marks indicating it being produced between 1889 to 1922. Also in green ink are the numbers 4426 and the artist mark.
