The bowl is known as "Avanto" (which translate to the Finnish word for ice hole). It is a thing of beauty with shiny clear crystal glass, which is, vividly structured under the bottom and highly polished on the top. The design bear resemblance of a water vortex or whirlpool, swirling around a hole in the ice. As always has Wirkkala’s design a timeless modern feeling and this is very rare Finnish glass design object from one of Finland's most famous designers in great condition.

Manufacturer: Iittala/Finland.
Artist/Designer: Tapio Wirkkala (1915-1985).
Material: Clear crystal glass.
Size: Diameter 25,5 cm = 10,03 inch and Height 6,5 cm = 2,55 inch;.


Condition: Excellent, rather like new. The original plastic foil label is very worn (see photo).
