Lovely circa 1830s English black painted open armchair with decorative flower and leaf painted frieze to the back. The caning to the seat has been redone over time and is in good condition. A nice size chair and with the addition of a squab cushionn , would be good to use as a desk chair. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
