Original Vintage 1920s bronze sculptural bowl with lid by Carl Sorensen. Original Verdigris finish complimented with gilt bronze stripes. Artisan’s stamp on the bottom. Has a striking stylized art deco / Art Nouveau finial on lid.

Carl Sorensen is one of the most notable bronze craftsmen of the early art-deco era. His elegant style is unmistakeable, with concentric patterns, metallic inlays, ornate sculpted finials, and unmatched green verdigris. Producing most of his work in Philadelphia in the early 20th century, Sorensen later became a designer for Tiffany Studios in New York
