This elegant, large gilt candlestick was carved from wood and gilted, possibly in the late 19th century or early 20th century. The candlestick has beautiful carvings all along the stem, three claw feet at the base, and a large needle to attach the candle. The candleholder is in excellent condition and has a rich patina throughout. This sturdy altar stick could be converted into a wonderful floor lamp or could be used with a candle as originally intended.
Measures 57" tall, 13" wide and 13" deep at its widest in the base.
This is an antique, it is in good antique condition. There are lots of wax droppings along the top of the base adding to its charm and patina. As always some wear and tear is expected with age and use.
